During a period of unemployment about 30 years ago, my mom contracted with me to install some new Kraft Maid kitchen cabinets. Part of my fee was the 3/4" baltic birch plywood that the old cabinet doors were made of. After stripping off about a dozen coats of polyurethane varnish, I used the plywood to construct this tool cabinet.
Still going strong after all these years, other than the doors being slightly warped and won't close completely at the bottom.

The carcase is constructed with spline joints. You can clearly see one of the splines at the lower left corner of the left-hand door. All I had to work with when I made it was a coping saw, some Craftsman chisels, a 3/8 corded drill, some spade bits, a dado blade and a table saw. Finished with Tung Oil. The stand is lap-jointed 2x4's.
